Meet Timgetthemoney | Producer

Hi Tim, Whats your definition of success?

To many it’s always the amount of followers, money or fame, but for me it’s being able to touch people with my music. In a way, I already feel successful in the way that I’m really doing too. I’ve touched so many people with my music that personally, I can tell myself that I’ve already done enough. Even though I can do that to so many more..

Tell us more about your artistry. What can you share with our community?

I’ve been currently making music for almost 3 years and producing for almost 9 years. I started off doing hip hop but I’ve recently been loving the folk/alternative sound. I love being able to genuinely make whatever I want because I can and be fully proud of what I’m not just making for others, but for generally myself and seeing my progression.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand & story?

TimGetTheMoney was at first my producer name, but coming into TimGetTheMoney as a person genuinely feels so different from who I am as just Tim. I feel like I’m making music for me that if I came across my music, I would fall in love with it and I do. The main thing I love telling people, even if it’s hard, is to be yourself and be proud of your work. Continue to stay with you.

Shout out to some people who helped you along the way.

Definitely shoutout to art album first for real. Been with them for like two years and I’ve been given so many opportunities. Shoutout to my brother, DJ Bey. He’s been killing it in Philly and was one of the first few people to get me into beat-making and definitely to my people like Hues, Ali Buckets, and 01forward. The boys are not from Philly but have been key players in my career for real. Especially Ali being one of the first few people to rock with my beats when I thought they were trash.

What are some of your favorite local spots in Philly?

I don’t be going out as much as I would love to but definitely yamitsuki for some great ramen for real. Center city got a lot of great spots and you know I gotta plug in, art album for when I’m trying to get in my creative bag with my fellow artist.
